A bit about me - Jared O'Mara

I’m a 35 year old Sheffielder and I work as an Event Organiser – prior to that, I worked as Press, Parliamentary and Campaigns Officer for a national disability rights charity.  I have a 1st class honours degree from Staffordshire University in Journalism having studied for A Levels at Tapton Sixth Form.

As well as having been chairman of a Sheffield based disability information service, I have spent over 12 years as a trustee of a Sheffield based disability charity and as a school governor of a Sheffield school.

Away from work, I volunteer for a variety of disability charities. I have a disability myself - Cerebral Palsy Hemiparesis -  and am immensely grateful to have received support and therapy from our local NHS via the Ryegate Centre in Crosspool, Sheffield Children’s Hospital and Sheffield Teaching Hospitals.

I would be honoured if you would vote for me on the 8th June.
