Months of hard work and negotiations led by Anne and Craig came to fruition this summer, as a deal was struck to bring Hallamshire Rugby club to a new base in Crookes.
"We've been delighted to work with the team, many of whom are local, to help them step closer to their dream of a local base," explained Anne.
The new premises, formerly occupied by Mercury Taxis, adjoins the Bolehills park, where the team will now train. "As a Labour council, we're committed to getting local parks better used, and providing activities to improve health and fitness, so this is a double win for us, great news for the team, and great news for Crookes!" said Craig.
